“I Self Devine, Micranots front-man, half of Semi.Official and one of the founding members of The Dynospectrum with Slug, Musab & Gene Poole returns with his debut solo album, Self Destruction. After spending the better portion of 10 years as one of the underground’s favorite MC’s, I Self steps out on his own and creates his most personal and engaging effort to date. Self Destruction is 16 tracks of analysis of one’s self, as well as the trappings of every day life. Brought along to complement I Self’s colorful lyrical stylings, a top notch production squad of Jake One, Ant, Vitamin D & Bean One was assembled for Self Destruction.
I Self is a seasoned vet who has toured the globe and performed with everyone from Public Enemy to Atmosphere. Self Destruction will mark the rebirth of this well respected MC while broadening his already solid base.” – Rhymesayers.com

Necro & Cage – Freestyles: The Best of Gore and Porn 1988-1999 (1999)
Artist: Necro & Cage
Album: Freestyles: The Best of Gore and Porn 1988-1999
Year: 1999
Label: ????

Over an hour worth of freestyles from two really good emcees. These freestyles span over a decade of Cage, Necro and Ill Bill’s careers. Very cool, very dirty, very vulgar.. But what else would you expect from Cage and Necro? It’s pretty amazing to hear freestyles that date back this far, definitely worth picking up if you’re into any of the aforementioned rappers.

Grieves – Irreversable (2007)
Artist: Grieves
Album: Irreversable
Year: 2007
Label: Black Clover

“Irreversible is a well-crafted and produced album that was obviously made by an artist who wants to have and keep a career within the hip-hop community. Grieves demands respect for the degree to which he pulls off highly introspective lyrics with so much raw emotion. He also makes music that is refreshingly original, fun to listen to and very melodic.”
Check this one out, it’s all I have been listening to lately and it sure as hell is worth every listen. Only two tracks on here that I skip, and I think they are attempts at humour that you only understand if you are from Seattle, but that aside this is one great disc. For fans of Atmosphere and the like.
