About the Sad Clowns

I’m just a kid who loves hip-hop, design and skateboarding. It wouldn’t be odd if when summer comes around if I start posting new skate photos and other related media. I love music and I simply want to share the shit I find with you. If you like the stuff I post, find it and buy it. The artists deserve the money for the work and heart that gets put in to these records. Check their websites and see if they are hittin’ up your city any time soon and pay the $10 to go check them out. I’m just a big supporter of music I enjoy, so I guess I’m just trying to people on to that wagon. I guess it wouldn’t be wrong of me to now say check out my hip-hop project I do, it’s strictly for fun and I do it because I enjoy it. If you hate it, tell me. If you love it, I’d also like to know! http://myspace.com/tokyomethlab

Peace and love ya’ll.
– Dave.

This site absolutely rocks… I’ve been looking for The Love Potion series for over a year now, and never found anything! I’m also a collector of obscure hip-hop, so if you’re ever looking for anything, (aside from the one Mac Lethal you’re missing,) hit me up.

I’m really feeling this set-up–fresh design. I’m from Nova Scotia and I’m always amazed to see how our hip-hop scene shows up in the underground all over. I’m the UK for school right now and kids are up on sixtoo, Buck 65, you name it.

Anyways– if you’re interested in any more underground music from the East Coast, I’d be happy to hook you up/ point you in the right direction. I’ll defintiely be checking for updates here.

    Peace

Out of curiosity, you wouldn’t happen to have any Living Legends would you? I’m looking for “Almost Famous”, but it’s fucking impossible to download anywhere…

Love this site, it has some good shit, if your looking for Mac lethal love potion collection its still in print so you can get it in a store. I want to second that Living Legends request, that would be sick. I was wondering if theres any other sites like this, if you find any let me know.

I totally forgot this part of the blog existed… haha shows how much I pay attention.

Mangle Face, you send me the tracks and they are posted. That goes for anyone who wants me to showcase their work. I’d be more than happy to do it!

I’ve got Cage’s ‘For Your Box’ and i’ll upload that sometime next week.. If I don’t, just get on my case about it.

I DON”T HAVE ANY OF THE SEAN LIKES UGLY GIRLS stuff, so if you could please upload those.. that would be the single coolest event ever.

I don’t have the P.O.S. album but I’ve been meaning to pick it up.. So I will hunt that down and post it for ya’ll.

If anyone wants their stuff posted up just send it over to my email shiftycrew@hotmail.com and we can set that up.

Oh and as for some East Coast hip-hop.. I would love some more. I’m really into the stuff I have. If you look into my newest Canadian Hip-Hop post.. That is pretty much all the Canadian stuff I got and I would gladly take anything not on that list. So, please and thanks for some great Canadian music!

yo. if you’re gonna title the website Sad Clown underground, you should actually know the signifigance of the sad clowns and Atmosphere.

Atmosphere is TWO people. Slug & Ant. Ant makes all the beats and is realistically the catalyst for why the group is so dope.

otherwise the site is a great idea and I appreciate all the Sad Clowns and Headshots

    Nolan are you serious…?
What gives you the impression that ‘sadclownunderground’ wouldn’t know the significance (btw that’s how it’s really spelled) of sad clown and Atmosphere..?!
He’s posted the entire Headshots and Sad Clown series, as well as other rare Atmos material I don’t see on any other websites, so it’s safe to say he’s a fan, who knows his shit.
And “Ant makes all the beats and is realistically the catalyst for why the group is so dope”…?
Are you just going to elide Slug’s intricate, incisive wordplay and heartfelt emotion just like that? Get a grip. They’re a team. Be grateful.
    Props sadclownunderground.

Nice work Johnny and Nolan. You guys were able to point out one and only time on this site that SCU referred the group as “him”. Top notch work, grammar detectives. Email me your addresses and I’ll get the gold stars in the mail asap.

Lighten up. Obviously it’s just a simple typo.

Hey i NEED to get hold of these Headshots releases, Atmosphere are the don, Slug touches me in ways that i ain’t sure is entirely legal! can’t download any of them though as it says that they have been removed, as this is the only place i managed to get the sad clown bad dub releases (alltho since i have managed 2 pick up parts 2 4 6 8 9 10 & 11 on CD which makes me extremely happy!!!) i’m more than convinced that this is the only place i can find the headshots releases, will the headshots series be put back on here or am i just being dumb?!
only one month to go til Atmosphere & Brother Ali in Nottingham, im like a little kid at christmas, i’m gonna OD purely off excitement!!
any help with this will be greatly appreciated, btw i’m loving the site, and it’s true that if you like something you should go out and buy it support good music and make your favourite artists rich! but the chances of me finding the headshots series available to buy is something like zero!!

Juk if you’re set up to download torrents this should work. Although Sumotorrent isn’t my favorite site for torrents this one looks to have some strength to it

    i do apologize,

the only reason i do that when people say he or him is because Ant rarely gets credit for his work.

i dont care how good the lyrics are, if you didnt like the beat, you wouldnt listen

i agree fully, but really, I don’t think SCU would make a blog about the rhymesayers and atmosphere and not know that there’s two of them. It was quite easily just a typo.

ANyways… i dont have the album on this computer, if i get time today i’ll get it up.

Atmosphere has had ALOT more members then just ant and slug, Eyedea & Abilities were in Atmosphere for a while and so was Mr. Dibbs. The original members were Spawn and Slug and They went by Urban Atmosphere, Ant didn’t join until later.

    Loving the site bro.

Do you have any Living Legends in your collection by any chance?

Also, as the HeadShot series were released on cassette, those looking for album artwork – I have made some covers for HeadShots Volume 1-6. All have ‘Atmosphere’ written on them as the artist. (I only just realized that Rhymesayers did some, but whatever)

The covers (along with original images used) can be viewed here: http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u113/JasePlace/HeadShots%20Covers/

(All are free to do whatever they want with these. But if you do use them publicly, a little credit won’t hurt.)
